I had a similar post, but now I have more information.

If I use Realtek Audio Driver, then my microphone works, but every 60 seconds or so the audio will skip for a second. I switched to the High Definition Audio Device, but my microphone doesn't work on it. Is there a workaround for this?

Solution
Not workarounds per se but things you can do.

First, try the Windows 10 built-in Troubleshooters via;

"WIN" + "I" > Update & Security > Troubleshoot. See if any problems are found and fixed.

Second, try right-clicking the small speaker icon usually located lower right screen corner. Select Playback devices and check the configuration settings via the various devices, tabs, and properties. Explore first and only change, if warranted, one thing at a time. Read carefully and keep notes about what you do.

Third, download and reinstall the applicable audio drivers via the manufacturer's website. Your current drivers may have a bug or have been corrupted.
