Hi, i have a gaming PC that feels good for most games with high fps. But fortnite is just not good. The fps is high all the time but the game feels so laggy. In late game its unplayable. Even though the fps is on at least 130/140 frames. It might be because the cpu is a little bottleneck but i cant really afford more PC parts at the moment. So i wondered if you have any tips that i could do to improve the performance. And also should G syng and V sync be on or of?

my specs:
Asus TUF motherboard
I3 9100f
12 GB ram
1070 8Gb

thanks for answers and sorry for my bad English

Yes your CPU is bottle necking your GPU.

Disable V-Sync. You will get screen tearing but if you ask any PC enthusiast, we always disable V-SYNC. It caps and holds your FPS steady to 60, 75, 144 depending on your refresh rate.

G-SYNC is a monitor technology. You'll only have it if your monitor is G-SYNC capable.

Solution
The CPU does bottleneck the 1070 and the main issue is fps drops, like in the graphs here.

Tone some settings down a bit like the shadows and textures, and use FXAA anti-aliasing. If the game has object distance quality, you can lower that too.

Later you can try to get an i5-9600k or similar for better and more stable performance too.
