I noticed that my a10-7850k package temps are very high.
I overclocked to 4.2 Ghz with 1.4v voltage.
Package temps 65C idle and 105C when stress testing.
Core temperatures are 20-25C idle and 60C while stress testing.
Is this normal?
Also tried 4.0ghz stock voltage but didnt help too much only by few degrees.

specs
a88x-plus
16gb 1866mhz
cryorig air cooler with changed thermal paste

used hwinfo for monitoring and multiple different stress tests.

Either you are using the wrong applications for reading the thermal sensors, or have disabled thermal monitoring - or whatever it's called - in bios, because the system should've shut down on you if those numbers are accurate.

Looking up the A10-7850K: https://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-A10-Series A10-7850K.html
It's a 95w part with a max operating temperature of 72.4C.
This is likely using the same temperature algorithm of AMD's FX cpus: Distance to TJ Max, or Thermal Margin. The traditional methods aren't accurate for these chips.

Download and run AMD Overdrive and check temps again: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/4645-amd-overdrive.html
Now, with Thermal Margin, it takes the max operating temp of 72.4C and counts DOWN as it heats up. Single digit, 0, and negative values are bad.
