Question High pitched whine/squealing noise coming from monitor AUX

All I can guess is that it's faulty. I've used it for 11 months without an issue, but recently it's started emitting a high pitched whine through the AUX speakers whenever I use it. Seems to be display-based, because the pitch fluctuates if the display changes. No amount of setting-changing, resetting, resting or wiggling has solved it. I've also contacted ViewSonic customer service.
Anyone got a fix, and is that fix to replace the monitor?

I think your guess is probably correct.
I think it's probably a component that failed or is on it's way to failing.
....and in general repairing things like this is more costly than a new unit.

Go in to the nvidia or amd control panel, and go to desktop color adjustment panel, try reducing the brightness level with the slider and see if you can get the whining to stop that way.

Thanks, but I've tried brightness, contrast, colour intensity and volume sliders from 100 to 0 to 100. It's only used for casting with Chromecast.

Not surprised, apparently it can be one of several components causing the issue. I hope the manufacturer replaces it or something so I can get a new one.
