History lists

Xp Pro. Where do applications such as Winzip, Winrar, Explorer, etc
store their history lists? I'm referring to the type of list that
drops down when one selects "extract to", for example. They get
cluttered over time and I'd like to edit them without totally erasing
them.

Are the any utilities around for dealing with these lists?
