Hi tom's. I've had this problem since i bought my computer 3 months ago. When i enter certain games, steam, origin, uplay. No matter what it black screens, but i hear my cursor scrolling over menu options and i hear the menu music. I dont know why. I think it may have been to do with my gpu but i recently bought a 7850 and still had the problem. The resolution settings are strange to say the least. It only allows me to change them in catalyst control centre and not in the actual windows. In the windows it only gives me the option of 800 x 600 but in the graphics card it gives me 640 x 480, 720 x 480, 800 x 600, 1152 x 648, 1280 x 720. Im on windows xp 32 bit. It isnt my moniter as it allows up to 1920x 1080. im using hdmi if thats anything. Im not sure there is anything in the bios that needs changing? but i know for a fact that it isnt my gpu or my drivers for my gpu and i know its not my moniter so please shed some light on this
