Don't be too hard on them. If it was something that can actually be
solved, they can be /extremely/ helpful.
Unfortunately, MAMEDev is only interested in getting the games
/running/, not running /well/. (As one fellow put it, ".....seem to use
a 'Rube Goldberg' problem-solving approach to some problems.")
Fortunately, the FastMAME crew have optimized MAME somewhat, so you
might want to give it a try. (http://www.geoshock.com)
