How do i calculate IAS breakpoints for a frenzy barb ? I believe there are
programs u can download for this, although I don't know what they're called.
But how does it work if a frenzy barb has two weapons of different speeds?
do they attack at the speed of the slowest one, or what ?
cheers

ok, is the right hand the actual right hand, or the right slot on the
screen - it's a difference of 2fpa for me! :O

current setup: 11fpa, 2.2 attack per second
swap: 9fpa, 2.7 attack per second
assuming that right hand means left weapon slot :S
a little unsure

play with the speed calc a little. Right-hand weapon is on the left side
of the screen.
If you mix two different weapons with different speeds, main speed is
taken from the right-hand weapon. But you have to make sure to always
equip the right-hand weapon first.

It doesn't show on the speed calc, but two different weapons don't get
the full bonus of the faster right-hand weapon. It is slightly better to
have two weapons of the same type, with one of them having +IAS on it.

And +IAS on the left hand never(!) counts..

Regards,

Oliver

A good read is
http://www.theamazonbasin.com/d2/forums/index.php?showtopic=54813

I quote:
"It describes a calculation that considers "right hand" weapon IAS, and
ignores IAS on the "left hand" weapon. Naturally, people wonder whether the
"right hand" weapon is the one equipped on the left or right side of the
inventory screen. That's where the misunderstandings arise. Frequently the
"right hand" weapon has nothing to do with which weapon is on which side of
the inventory screen. The rules for which weapon counts as the "right hand"
weapon are more complicated than that.

Whenever a barb equips two weapons the game considers one of them primary
and the other one secondary. With each Frenzy attack the game treats the
primary weapon differently from the secondary weapon in three important
ways:
1. The primary weapon always swings first.
2. IAS on the primary weapon applies to the entire Frenzy attack, so both
swings benefit from it. IAS on the secondary weapon doesn't count at all.
3. When you switch from Frenzy to any 1-handed attack skill (like
Berserk), the primary weapon is always the one you swing."
