So i have a evga g3 650w psu and a msi gtx1070 ti.

So the gpu has 8+6 pins for power, so am i supposed to put one 8 to 8 pin cable from the psu to the gpu and one 8 to 6 pin to the cable, or one 8 to 8+6 pin i got in with the psu because i dont want to limit my gpu performance due to low power draw.

Solution
With 2 cables they will heat up less during peak power consumption.

But your PSU has only single 12V rail, so, if cables are thick enough, then this doesn't matter much. Problem would be, if PSU had multiple 12V rails and single rail couldn't provide enough power.

TLDR - 2 cables are better.

Thanks,

So is the ideal layout 8 pin from psu to 8 pin gpu, and 8 pin from psu to 6+2 in gpu with only the 6 pin inserted and the 2 pin hanging out?
