it is simply, you make the sony ipod firstly installed in the computer, i mean when you are formatting the computer,so immediately detects and will be one of the disk drivers in your computer then you try create a new partition as while you making a normal partition in your computer, then after that when the computer comes to the normal desktop your sony ipod will be ok, please try to make this possible solution, i personally tested this and i succeeded.
