Question How do I upgrade my BIOS for cpu upgrade?

I tried posting this before but im not sure if it worked. Anyway I'm trying to upgrade my cpu from a 1300x to a 2600 (ryzen) and I am wondering if I just need to download the latest bios update or if there is a specific one?

What motherboard do you have?

What version BIOS is it? (check in BIOS)

If it's been awhile since the BIOS has been updated then you'll want to upgrade to a newer one but don't go right to the newest as that could brick your board. Go in order.

I have the gigabyte ab350-gaming-CF. This is the worst because it wants to install a tool before updating that will bring me back to f2 and then I will have to upgrade twice. However everyone says that the tool just fucked everything up and they had to fix a bunch of stuff so I have no idea what to do.

There shouldn't be any tool if your using Qflash with a flash drive.
