Hi, i am kind of a newbie with computers and i was wondering how do you find the latest Drivers for you computer? I downloaded Driver Detective and It tells me what drivers are out of date, but i don't know what Drivers to download.

The reason i want to know is because every once in a while when i am play certain games, such as Day of Defeat: Source, i get the blue screen of death, or the computer will just freeze up and replay the last quarter of a second of sound over and over again. I also get the blue screen sometimes when i am on skype having a video call, and it gets frustrating.

I have Vista 64-bit on a Gateway Notebook, if that information is required XD

Thanks for the help!

For a notebook you can usually go to the mfg website and get find all the latest drivers there. Ar www.gateway.com you would look for
a 'support' or 'driver' link and then search by the model number of your machine.

The alternative is to determine what hardware is in the notebook and go to the website of the particular brand - say for example go to nvidia.com if it is an nvidia video card in there.

For your problem I would look for video drivers first, sound drivers second and possibly network card rivers if this is happening on line.
