How do you lock on with Rocket launcher

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to lock on to vehicles with
Rockets.

Can you tell me how to do that.

1. Wait for targeting reticle to turn red,
2. Observe the 'press and HOLD right trigger to lock-on' message below
the reticle,
3. Press and HOLD right trigger to lock on,
4. When you see the reticle obtain the lock,
5. Release the right trigger... KABOOM!

Thanks, I could not understand what the display message was telling me when
the target sight was red.

You can still miss though. The longer the distance the more likely
this will happen. I think that's cool - it ensures that no weapon is
100% effective.
