Hello everyone. Its been a while but I am in need of advice on a new build that I will be putting together for someone else. They care a bit more than I'd like about the overall appearance of the build so I've tried my best to match everything as much as possible. I've tried my best to push the power as far as I can at the same time. I've posted around some of the build a pc reddits and taken a lot of time to research what people there had been building recently. The budget is around $1400 give or take a bit. Nothing too far over though. I'm looking more for advice on whether or not I should change out these parts for more efficiency. From everything I've researched it seems like it should be pretty solid at playing 1080 on a 144hz monitor, keeping a pretty high frame rate on everything you throw at it. I've put together a couple of builds in the past. One AMD and one Intel build. Still fairly new though and I am not comfortable with overclocking the system because I've never done it before and I won't have access to the system after I send it off with them. Just need some advice on whether or not to tell them to go ahead and start purchasing. I apologize if I left out important information. If you don't see something you need to know please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for taking your time to look at this post.
Approximate Purchase Date: Close but it depends on how long the person waits.
Budget Range: The budget is give or take $1400
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Pretty much completely a gaming build. Some light multitasking and possibly streaming down the line.
Are you buying a monitor: Not shopping for a new monitor at this point.
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I don't really have one. I'm sure they don't either.
Location: I am in North Carolina (US) but I live in a very rural area and am hours away from any part shop. Definitely going to have to order the parts online.
Parts Preferences: Not particularly. I've read that EVGA has good warranty though and thats a plus. One of the reasons I've chosen certain parts.
Overclocking: I am not looking to overclock this system.
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: Not sure what exactly they have. They can handle the monitor choice later though.
Additional Comments: They were really looking for a bright RGB style build. Its part of the reason I've proposed what I have.
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: The build they have is old and they are not really looking to upgrade it. Just going for a new build.
