Question How is FSP Hydro K PRO 750W for 4070s + 5800X3D?

Hi all! Im new to pc building and I already have a built pc system which includes FSP Hydro K PRO 750W, RTX 4060 and AMD 5600G

I am planning to upgrade to 5800X3D and RTX 4070 Super next year and Im wondering if I can still use my PSU or do I need to change it?

Hey there

The Hydro K isn't the best as far as I can see. It should be okay. I'm not sure, but i think you will have to use an adaptor that comes with the 4070 S, because the Hydro doesn't have the newer 12vpower for the newer GPU's.

750w is enough for the new parts, but whether the quality of the unit holds up, I can't say for sure.

How old is the PSU in your build?

Where are you located, what is your budget for your PSU purchase and what is your preferred site for purchase?

Hydro K Pro is a very low end unit. 230vO input, double forward topology on the primary, low quality and it's missing OTP. 750w is unusable with such units. You don't want to power high end hardware with a poor PSU like this.
