[SOLVED] How long it takes to clone a 1TB HDD to an SSD

I started copying a 1 TB HDD into a 1 TB SSD to fix performance issues. The dock shows a 25%, 50%,75% and 100% progress bar. In my first attempt, the cloning stuck at 75% for 14 hours. I stopped and tried to format/repair and clean the SSD for my second attempt and fix/repair the HDD.
Now it is still stuck in 75% after 9 hours.

Does the cloning device automatically skips bad sectors? What should I do?

9 hours? No.
That is WAY too long.

I doubt if that device will automatically skip bad sectors.
It is probably getting hung up on places it cannot read.

Is this a secondary drive? If so, just copy/paste. No actual cloning needed.
And do it in sections, not the whole thing at once. That way, you can maybe identify what is not readable.

If it is the OS drive, you may have waited too long. Skipping bad sectors on the OS drive is a waste of time. It would be skipping actual needed data.

UNfortunately, once a drive has sector issues, this can greatly complicate successful clones/transfers...

If the drive is failing cloning attempts (Macrium Reflect makes them child's play when all hardware works!), you might do better to simply get what you need copied elsewhere ASAP, and do a fresh install to the SSD.
