I've owned a:

Geforce 2 MX 200
Geforce 4 MX 440
Geforce 4 Ti 4600
Geforce FX (can't remember what one) (cheap)
ATI Radeon 9600 All-In-Wonder
Geforce 7950GT

Yeah, but then joe noob wouldn't be confused and who would buy the crippled crappy ones ? Such as the "LE" and "SE" models. You know dam well they got that from the automobile industry, where LE and SE are better...irks me.

Maybe instead of SE it should be "differently abled" edition, and before everyone gets mad, I am so don't get all politically correct....lol

I don't upgrade often

Some Voodoo card (16mb vram)
BFG 6800OC AGP
XFX 8800GTS 320mb

As you can see I do huge jumps so it takes me awhile to get use to the blazing fast frame rates.

Oops for got the early days:

Best,

is it me or do i see some patterns with your list? i m guessing your next card will be nvidia??

Haha, well there is a very good chance that yes it will be nvidia, but my reasons for so many different changes is that I like to test many cards myself next to each other. I do prefer ATI video cards, but that has never stopped me from getting nVidia as you can tell...lol, same goes with Intel and AMD. I prefer Intel, but if AMD Is better I just buy whats best for me.

Best,

geforce 2 (using it right now seeing this is the only computer that has internet)
geforce 5900 (blew it up using two power supplies at once, experimental)
geforce 6800 LE (absolutely freaking hated that SOB)
geforce 7950gt 512mb (love this card)

TNT2
--integrated DX7 class graphics for a bit
Radeon 9600
Radeon 9550(different computer then the 9600 was in)
Radeon X850XT AGP(replaced 9600)
Quadro4 NVS 200(replaced dead 9600 after X850XT was sold, used that comp for desktop work only at this point, and a bit of CS 1.6 too)
GeForce 7900GS(current card)

not too many, but a decent amount.

u went from the 9000 pro to an 8800 gtx? GOD that must have been good
I'm a yung'un, and have only had 2 cards
xfx 6800 ultra (think it might have been the xxx version, can't recall)
xfx 8600 gts (the xfx doesn't really seem to give me much bar a sticker)
I like 8's and 6's lol (edit, although Ironically, I wish I hadn't gone with the 8600)

Hm... I'm also pretty new at this.... Besides the OLD ATI card I that was in my parents old Pentium-166 (the thing still runs!), I've had four video cards.

ATI x300
nVidia 6200 Turbocache (Glad I got that POS for free)
ATI x1600pro
ATI x1900xt

OMG! I have ONLY owned:

1) PII 266 with a Matrox G200 1st comp, did tons of business with it and learned lots.

2) Dell Dimension 2400 Celeron 2.4Ghz, was on sale during the famous price ****-up. Got the whole thing for $300 shipped with MS Works, Keyboard and mouse in 2003.

3) My current PC, upgraded from a AMD64 3000+ with a Evga 6800GS to a Opteron 165 @2.25 Ghz OC with an 8800GTS 640Mb. See hardware specs, my new sig. is here to stay!

well that really wasn't in order but I went from a FX 5900 Ultra to a 8800 GTX and yes it was quite a improvement.

LOOL I still remember when video cards started to have fans. I'm like wow such blazing fast performance that you need a fan! And the heatsinks back then were pretty small compared to today.
