Once a week, my inbox is flooded with dozens of spam emails called "John Blue. I recorded you". The sender emails each come from a different address as seen in the screenshot. i.e something like "John Blue @1234.com"

As this address changes for every email, I can't see how to block him.

The scam is that he claims to have infected my PC, has recorded off my webcam and has my telephone number etc. [My webcam has tape over it all the time not in use and the phone number is wrong!] He will sort it out if I send $750 in bitcoin. Ha ha!!

So any way to block him please? I use eM Client as my desktop email client.

Obviously the claims are false. And I share the annoyance....

Just set a few email rules that dump any incoming emails containing "John", "Blue", "recorded" etc. into one specific folder. Name the folder something like "Blue spam" or whatever you feel is an appropriate folder name.

For the most part ignore the folder. However, again as you prefer, scan the folder for any possible legitimate emails, move those emails to the Inbox (or elsewhere as you deem appropriate) then delete the remaining spam emails.

One of my rules is that only emails from people in my address book go to the Inbox. All other emails go to a folder that I do indeed, scan through, move legitmate emails, and delete (unopened, unread ) all the others.

Find the "user manual" for eM Client - hopefully there will be some explanation regarding setting up and implementing rules to handle incoming emails. You will likely need to use some wildcard values in the rule regarding sender, subject, and content,

And update or modify the rules if the scam emails start slipping through into the Inbox.
