How to boot from raid controller

Hello,
My problem is I don't have an SATA card to connect my hard drive to, so I'm trying to my RAID controller instead. What I'd like to know is if I can boot from my RAID controller and if so how do I?

Yes, but you normally need a floppy disk or usb pen drive with the correct raid drivers on it and use the o/s's advanced/F6 option to install before select which hdd to install too.
