How to completely reset my laptop?

I'm going to give my Laptop to my mom and I'd like to reset it entirely so that Windows is under her name and all that. How would I do this? I went into Bios and tried the repair option but that didn't work. Do I just format my C: drive? Not sure what to do.


And what do I do if I want to reinstall Windows but don't have a disc or anything?

There should be a Factory Reset function. This will bring it back to exactly as it came from the store.
Look in the user manual as to how to invoke this.

I'll check. If I were to just format my C: drive and then upgrade to Windows 10 would that basically be a reset?

Think I'll do a clean Win 10 install. Apparently if you do the Upgrade and then do a clean install from a USB or cd drive you can format like that.
