Question How to delete these pending updates?

So last night I checked Windows update after like 2 months and immediate noticed one of them is an AMD Driver Update.

I don't want to download that driver since I have heard cases of these updates breaking Adrenalin (I'm still using a 13 months old Stable version). I turned off driver updates in policy, used "Show or hide updates" troubleshooting toolkits to block them, removed files from C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download, restarted PC and it still shows pending install. Is there any way to get rid of it? I just want the Windows 10 update, not the AMD driver one.

A few ideas and thoughts:

If you've deleted it, it may simply give an error when you try to install it.

Post #5 here may help, but it is a different situation than yours:
I know you said you cleared it, but did you stop the services beforehand and restart them afterwards? It might help.

Afterwards, it's likely that the driver will try to be installed again anyway. You can sometimes "rollback" a driver in Device Manager to return to the previous driver. And you can remove it completely using DDU and reinstall the old driver if needed.

But then again... it might keep trying to download it. Sometimes the "ignore driver updates" setting doesn't work.

Most of the drivers installed by Windows Update are tested very well and don't cause issues. So my final advice would be that if you can't figure out how to stop the update, test the new update out, see if it works.
