How to determine how many watts your computer is using?

I just wanna know how many watts my computer is currently using. The reviews on this site often tell how many watts the computer uses while idle and while under load; that's what I want to know for my computer.

There's no program that can monitor that kind of thing? I would have to buy an external piece of equipment?

If you meant to ask "How can I estimate the proper size for a PC power supply?" you can Google and find several estimators.

No, I know how to do that, and I already built my computer. I was just curious how much power it actually uses at idle and load.
