Hello,

I'm thinking of buying a mSATA ssd i have a MSI z97 pc mate mother board with SATAIII SSD installed. I checked the technical specifications of the motherboard via MSİ official product site at https://tr.msi.com/Motherboard/Z97-PC-Mate.html there is nothing about mSATA port or support but i found that somewhere in the user manual there is a guide for mSATA ssd installation so my question is, for any desktop motherboard how to determine it has a mSATA slot or not and if it has how locate it ?.Thx in advance...

Msata can be found mostly on laptops (not the newest ones).
On Desktop board - haven't seen any.

Just get regular sata 2.5"drive.
With msata drive you'll also need msata to sata adapter.

That is an error in the manual -- the MSI Z97 Gaming 45 has an mSATA slot but the Mate does not.
