i beileve that for speedstep and cool and quiet, as long as you have XP with SP2, it's automatic.

C&Q needs some little tweaking, BIOS/Power management in windows. TheRod posted it a few times, you can search for it if you're interested...

I´ve got it.

a) In BIOS: I have set it to automatic (controlled by operating system).
b) In Windows: Energy options. I have set it from desktop to mobile.
