I booted my SSD today and I got the Orange Screen of Death.

My screen is covered in vertical white and orange bars and I have no idea how to fix it. I turned off my PC and tried rebooting. It booted up, however this time I was on the HDD. I checked Device Manager, and even after waiting 15+ minutes, my SSD was completely gone in the 'Disk drives' group.

I did some research and was told I needed to type in a BitLocker password while on the screen.

Thing is, I had my PC pre-built and have NO idea what a BitLocker password even is and how to locate or find it.

Any help would be amazing!

EDIT: After trying to locate my BitLocker password, it says I don't have any? I'm so confused!

Solution
Okay, then how am I able to get my SSD appearing back.
It seems this is a bit of a weird config. One that you did not do.

There should be only ONE operating system on this system. That, in theory, should be on the SSD. If your tech guy did things correctly.
It should not be booting from the hDD.

prebuild by who?

full system spec?
I have the person who prebuilt it on Facebook, I'll probably ask him for the BitLocker key if he has it.

Power Supply: Thermaltake 750W
SSD: KINGSTON SA400S37240G
HDD: Seagate ST31000528AS
Motherboard: MSI 2A9C
System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: i5-650 3.20GHz (soon i7-870 2.93GHz)
Ram: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 664MHz
GPU: 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
Monitors: KA220HQ(1920x1080) and ASUS VW193T(1440x900)

From Monday:
Okay I'll try that out.

if you did a fresh os install. there won't be bitlocker
where did you get the installation media?
I've had my SSD for around a month. The person who built my PC got a Windows 10 installation from the Microsoft website. Also, I've heard even if you see the white and orange lines, you still have the ability to type in your key, press enter and have it log you in. However, if the SSD isn't being recognised I doubt that's the case :/

It's alright now, my SSD reappeared after about 4 hours yesterday. In a few days I'm installing a CPU so when that happens I'll also check and see if the SATA cables are connected right.
