[SOLVED] How to install my new M.2?

i bought a M.2 but soon realized my motherboard did not support it https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H110-PLUS/ . Recently i bought this adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X9HCSPN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to put in one of the 3 PCIE slots but that does not seem to fit either. Any ideas on what to do?

I bought the same one you linked, cant figure out how to slot it correctly in my PCI slots, as you can see in the PIC above i linked it, is that a X8 slot that will support it?

Either of those 2 slots should work.

Gotcha, i mean the whole chip part of the adapter, is there a certain way to set it in cause when i set it the whole piece isnt inside the lsot

Thanks so much for replying by the way. Just not sure why its not showing up in my format partition, i just think ididnt seat it correctly. Not showing in BIOS either

It should go even with the end of the slot.

The slot is too small for the adapter to fit evenly

Those are PCI slots, you're trying to use your PCIE M.2 adapter in.

You can use it only in PCIE slot - long one, where graphics card goes into. Your motherboard has only single PCIE slot, where PCIE x4 card can be placed in.

Option #1 - get a different motherboard with M.2 support;
Option #2 - get a different sata 2.5"SSD;
Option #3 - remove your graphics card and use PCIE M.2 adapter there.

Your board has the wrong slot....

I feel so ashamed for making such a rookie mistake and not picking up on the slot thing.
