How to install windows xp on laptop using desktop

I have Dell 505 laptop with accidentally broken CD rom and i want install Windows XP on him .How can I do it if i connect laptop and desktop throught USB cable?

You 'borrow' the CD ROM from another computer and connect it to the laptop using an adapter, long enough to install Windows.

These adapters are not expensive and work very well. There are many brands out there to choose from, like this one HERE
