How to know if cpu is dead

My pc is having issues I've got it down to either my cpu or mobo is dead I just want to know how to tell if my cpu is dead without buying new parts or trying another pc

Mobo- ga-78lmt-s2
Psu- 500w
Gpu- gtx 1050ti 4gb
Cpu- amd fx-6300 3.5 ghz 6 core
Do lights turn on?: yes
Does it beep?: no
Fans?- yes
Post?- no

When did this start happening. Can you give me some history. What is the brand name and model of the power supply. How long have you had the power supply?

I have a big problem
My friend tried to delid a C2Q Q6600 and now it doesnt show anything to the display and it kicks out alot of heat and the IHS is a bit scratched around the edges , is the CPU Dead or is it still fixable?????

He also said the CPU kept jumping out of the benchwise and it didnt bend or flex not at all
