Anyone been playing VALORANT recently?

The game sounds are packaged as .pak files and I'd like to replace the sounds in them with my own.

I've tried a few tools i found online but they throw an error whenever I try to open them. Also changing the extension to .zip and using 7zip doesnt work.

Could they have been packaged using a some kind of encryption?

Yes, they are almost certainly encrypted.
To prevent people from changing things in the game. Like what you're wanting to do.

Some games and publishers make public the means and tools to do that.
Some don't.
