[SOLVED] How To Overclock My AMD FX-8300?

I've read some tutorials on how to overclock this CPU....HOWEVER, I have NEVER overclocked or come close to it because I have no clue what to do, or how to do some of the things that are told in the tutorials. I know you have to have a good Mobo with OC protection ( I do ) a good CPU cooler and a good PSU (Specs Below). Please if you come to help me OC my PC explain EVERY STEP in detail. I don't need to know what is going on with the CPU in detail, just what options I have to enable or disable, what speeds I have to put it at in the BIOS. Should I also OC my Ram....etc. I am also not looking for a amazingly fast speed, I just want something my PC can comfortably handle, thanks

What is your motherboard MODEL? OC "protection" is a farce, and doesn't exist as far as reality is concerned. What matters is what the VRM configuration and quality of the board is.

I knew I was forgetting something lol I updated my post, I know OC protection isnt a thing, but on the MSI website it says mine is fine for OC i guess lol

You have a cheap, low-end motherboard that is not well suited to overclocking. If you really want to try there are plenty of guides out there for overclocking, shouldn't be hard to find with a google search.

I would not recommend OCing on that motherboard. Poor power delivery, no VRM heatsinks, and overall a poor choice given your processor.
