My laptop was alright when I bought it brand new, but after update for some reason there is a spike in RAM when I open the task manager. The two tasks called "Desktop window manager" and "Windows Explorer" are eating up to 30% of my RAM. Is there any solution to this specific problem?

Make and model of your laptop? An SKU would help us two fold. As for your issue, perhaps run a system restore to a point prior to the update and see if that helps alleviate the issue. If a system restore doesn't help you can try and reinstall your OS after recreating the bootable USB installer for Windows 11 to rule out a corrupt installer.

Please be wary to back up any and/or all mission critical data off your laptop in case things go sideways.

Thank you for the reply, My laptop is Asus vivobook 14, x415EA model, and yes I did try to reinstalling my OS several times, and every time the same problem occurs, I tried going back to win 10, but there was a same problem. I didn't have any type of restore point made though.

I think you'll find they mean the Windows Fast Startup option: Settings > System > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings > Choose what the power buttons do > unckeck Fast Startup

There usually is no point in worrying about RAM usage. The Windows memory manager is designed to maximise the use of RAM and it makes a far better job of managing RAM then you ever can. Please open Task Manager > Performance tab > Memory icon. Post a screenshot of that display when you think RAM is being over-used and I'll tell you whether you need to worry.
