Every cloud software creates a local folder. Even Drive or OneDrive.
You can see this guide for Mega here: (assuming its Mega NZ, not Mega Backup)
Full Sync Setup
During installation you will be asked if you wish to copy
all of your Cloud Drive data to your local device. If you do select this option, you can specify the destination folder on your device.
To change this setup:
- Open your MEGAsync interface by clicking on the M icon on the menu bar, then click on the Gear icon in the top right hand corner and go to Settings / Preferences - Syncs.
- Select the Full sync (/) path then the Delete button.
- Select Add and then you can nominate exactly which folders (and sub-folders) you would like to sync between your MEGA Cloud Drive and your PC. You can use this function to create multiple syncs - see below:
Selective Sync Setup
- Open your MEGAsync interface by clicking on the M icon on the menu bar, then click on the Gear icon in the top right hand corner and go to Settings / Preferences - Syncs. You will be able to nominate exactly which folders you would like to sync between your MEGA Cloud Drive and your PC.
- Select Add in the Syncs tab.
- Then click on the icons on the right end of the Local Folder and the MEGA Folder lines to browse for the folders you wish to sync.
- When you click to nominate the local folder you can select any other location or drive again by clicking on the right local path icon. On Windows click Apply.
