sorry if posted this on wrong category. i want to know how to setup mega cloud storage sync in a way how onedrive or gdrive works to auto backup the documents pictures desktop nd all that stuff nd sync accordingly. i tried to make a manual sync but it says selected folder is already synced.

Mega should already work in the same way, you select which folders to backup during installation or in Mega settings.

if it is stating the selected folder is already synced, then that means it has already automatically backed up that folder.
while installing it only creates a local folder which then syncs to mega cloud. it had no option to auto backup documents or any specific file. so only files that i put in that local folder that mega created will get synced.

Every cloud software creates a local folder. Even Drive or OneDrive.

You can see this guide for Mega here: (assuming its Mega NZ, not Mega Backup)

Full Sync Setup
During installation you will be asked if you wish to copy all of your Cloud Drive data to your local device. If you do select this option, you can specify the destination folder on your device.

To change this setup:
  1. Open your MEGAsync interface by clicking on the M icon on the menu bar, then click on the Gear icon in the top right hand corner and go to Settings / Preferences - Syncs.
  2. Select the Full sync (/) path then the Delete button.
  3. Select Add and then you can nominate exactly which folders (and sub-folders) you would like to sync between your MEGA Cloud Drive and your PC. You can use this function to create multiple syncs - see below:
Selective Sync Setup
  1. Open your MEGAsync interface by clicking on the M icon on the menu bar, then click on the Gear icon in the top right hand corner and go to Settings / Preferences - Syncs. You will be able to nominate exactly which folders you would like to sync between your MEGA Cloud Drive and your PC.
  2. Select Add in the Syncs tab.
  3. Then click on the icons on the right end of the Local Folder and the MEGA Folder lines to browse for the folders you wish to sync.
  4. When you click to nominate the local folder you can select any other location or drive again by clicking on the right local path icon. On Windows click Apply.

well this method does work but then it creates these additional list of the same stuff again instead of just a MEGA folder or something like that which then have all folders in it.

I believe those are just shortcuts to subsections of where Mega is backing up those files (Haven't used MEGA for a while).
There should be (if I recall) one MEGA folder, which has those documents in them, that's just the start menu shortcuts.

i know i just dont want those shortcuts or links there, is there a way so i have only one MEGA folder there instead of every folder i sync to mega cloud.
