I have to connect to a server at school in order to turn in online assignments. I established a VPN in order for me to connect properly, but I have a PC. When I am on a Mac, all I need to do is go to the finder tab and select Go-Connect to Server and it allows me to type in the name of the server that I need to access. Where is this option on a PC?

What operating system are you running? It varies between XP and Vista/7.

It's Windows 7

Go to the "Network and Sharing Center". You should see an option to "Setup a new connection or network", click on that. Then select "Connect to a workplace" hit next, and then select "Connect via VPN" and enter the relevant information. The rest is self explanatory.
