I'm not looking to argue with someone. You are the one pointing things out that shouldn't matter to you at all. Yes, I'm fully aware that I edited the post.... why wouldn't I be? Uhhh anyways yeah end of conversation on that.

This is coming from a hardcore Elder Scrolls/MMORPG fanboi.

I received my copy of Elder Scrolls Online and boy i was so disappointed.

The game fails miserably, nothing and I mean nothing is exciting about it. Not the graphics (plastic), the gameplay, the combat, the immersion, the interface... Don't get me started on the cheesy voice-overs and the dry dialogue.

Only thing that impressed me a little were the sunrays, im not exaggerating.

I am a huge fan of MMO's and role playing games. I been playing since Baldur's Gate days, Icewind dale, Neverwinter nights, Planescape: Torment, Diablo, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim... I played WoW for almost 5 years and Age of Conan (which is an epic btw) for like 3 years.

I quit everything and had my hopes pinned on ESO, thinking it would be the "Game" for me and i followed it eagerly since the day it was announced.

Zero interest to play or to explore, it is just a mediocre generic MMO. Imagine, i have all the time in the world now since my family are out the country and i literally have nothing to do, yet i don't get the urge to log on.

I paid 300 dollars (120 pounds for the game, imperial edition with a book and some statue and map and 100$ for delivery and customs)... I would have gladly paid thrice that amount for my dream MMO... money isn't the issue... nor even the bugs people keep nagging about, since i know these will be ironed out eventually. But the core, the essence of the game. This will not change.

I know i only been playing it for few days, but, I can already tell it has failed, at least for me. To be fair, I will fiddle with it again, maybe it is just me... Maybe my standards have been set so high, due to playing a modded Skyrim and i need to "re-adjust". I am not expecting a miracle though :)

I am just being honest people, i know some of you are genuinely enjoying it... we all have different tastes.

But for some people to come here and claim this is the best MMO ever and rate it a 10 out of 10, i think the word deluded is fitting.

Shame on Zenimax and Bethesda for allowing them to leverage on their name... It is a scam to rob you out of your money.

Honestly I love the game.. Being a huge fan of other scrolls games I have been very involved with the story and not to mention there is 3 full story lines all loaded with separate quests all the way up to lvl 50.. The writing, story, and voice acting is done by bethesda. 3 Skyrim stories in one box? I'm sold. Combat is a little bit disappointing however still fun, its an mmo.. and if I get don't get interested in the end game content from an MMO standpoint I will have still gotten my moneys worth because of the great voice acting, 3 alliances filled with different stories and quests.. Im lvl 13 and already have well over 48 hours on my character.. Exploration.. Lore books.. Quests.. Its all there.. Its pretty insane that scrolls fan are so nit picky about stuff when the majority of what makes an elder scrolls game is there.

Yeah, it's all there. Just not in the same way I'm used to an I don't like change. You buy a car that has 4 seats every year. Does that mean if they come out with a car that looks exactly the same but 2 of the seats are rear facing that you would buy it? No.... it's all there (4 seats) but you don't like how 2 of them are facing backwards this time. Crappy analogy but you get the concept don't you?
