How would I remove the cpu retention plate froman asRock aliveNF4G-DVI motherboard?

Hi, I'm planning to buy a new CPU cooler since the one I have now sounds like a jet engine. The only problem is, I don't know how to remove the CPU retention plate in order to install a new one. The screws (more like push pins) are plastic here are some pictures:

With a screwdriver push the plastic bit out. It's just a wedge keeping the black plastic bits apart.

I haven't tried it since I don't have the cooler but I'm pretty sure it'll work.
