Question hp 360x 11-ab103tu touch screen not working

I have replaced my hp's screen and digitizer. After booting it back up the screen works great it just doesn't register its a touch screen. I re-seated the digitizer plug / updated the I2C HID driver and it says that i don't have a touchscreen still. Any ideas? Thanks

1. The digitizer is defective
2. The Ribbon cable has come loose or is defective
3. The Plug for the ribbon cable is damaged or a choke along the plug is defective.

1 and 2 Are the most logical depending on where you got the part. Replacements from eBay and Amazon are a crap shot but normally they give you a 30-day window to return it.

3. It's cheaper to just buy a new motherboard in this case, you can find them for around $50 otherwise sending it off for a troubleshot and micro solder is going to run $75+. The downside for replacing the motherboard is losing all your data.
