Hp dvd writer/ cd- writer combo

where can I look to find cd drive (k) to burn music. this drive seems to have disapeared from my computer. I was able to burn my music when copied to this drive 2 days ago. now it is not there. please help

Try opening device manager. It should have it listed. If not it could be your SB acting up... a fresh install might help.

Just as amdfangirl said, try reinstalling the drivers. Also double check the connection on the drive, those sata connectors can sometimes come loose.

Put this in the forum it belongs. This is not a CPU problem/discussion. It's most likely an operating system issue or a hardware failure.
