Hello is there an altenative to HP Jet admin??? it has more bugs than New
York!

The printer is a HP Color laserjet 5 connected to a Linksys WAG54G DHCP
server (printer uses BOOTP)

p.s why is the Jetadmin so buggy (e.g) can't download updates)

I must agree that admin is a pain to use but once you get use to it is
ok. Not great but just ok. Your problem is most likely with a setting
some where within the program. You may also have a firewall port that
is blocking downloads as that has been my case in the past. I have to
support over 1200 printers in a network that covers the country and
have run into many problems that were not related to WJA but some
security setting on the network.

I am now trying to figure out a way to upload the latest firmware to a
printer and am going through your pains.
