My HP Pavilion Media Center m7250n - Pentium D 820 2.8 GHz seems to be slowing down please help.Asus P5LP-LE Motherboards bios are locked so i'm using clockgen with cpu at 3.1Ghz. I have 3gbs of ram, an upgraded 500watt PSU, my GPU is a Geforce 8500GT 1024mb. And my main problem is the current game i play (Rift) runs at about 24 FPS with everything set to lowest, i had tryed changing the graphics card to EVGA - GeForce GTS 450 FPB 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card but nothing really changed it went up to 30 fps on lowest but if i changed settings to medium 8 to 11 fps. I have done my research and understand i could upgrade the CPU to Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 670 supporting HT Technology (2M Cache, 3.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) i just want to know if anything is really going to gain me the performance change i need or if i should just drop this build and use what i can on a new build.
