HP Pavillion p6510y New Video card?

What are you planning to use the graphics card power for, gaming, 3D rendering?

The p6510y has only a 250 Watt power supply.

If you're not planning on upgrading the power supply then that will limit what graphics cards can be recommended.

I'm just going to use it for new gamer, like Black Ops, Crysis, and Startcraft 2. I've already found a great deal on a 600 Watt Psu. Any recommendations?

What is the display panel/monitor's native resolution? Or at least provide the brand and model.

The monitor is a Acer G185H and its native resolution is 1366x768

Within the $250 budget is:

AMD Radeon HD 6850 1 GB
AMD Radeon HD 6870 1 GB
nVidia GeForce GTX 460 1 GB

The brand you choose is up to you.

If PhysX or CUDA support is important to you then that limits your choice to the nVidia GeForce GTX 460.

The 600 Watt PSU should be able to handle the cards listed above.

Thanks for the reply! I was thinking about getting the GTX 460 1G but I noticed its configured for PCI Express 2.0 I know that is backwards compatible with a PCI 16x, but how big of a performance hit would it take?
