I got a free HP proliant DL320e Gen8 server from my last job when they did their refresh. I fully realize this is a bit old, but I have extra parts and want to convert it to a secondary gaming rig. The mini sas raid card has been removed from the pciexpress slot for graphics. The front hot swap bays have been disconnected in favor of using a proper power supply and the onboard mini sas connection. I picked up the mini sas cable linked below, but the drives are not being recognized by the built in raid configuration software. These drives were previously working with the raid card.

Please note that I have zero server or sas experience. I am hoping that I have simply overlooked a bios setting or maybe a jumper. Any help is appreciated.
