Question HyperX Cloud 2(wired) microphone broken, but audio is fine

I have had my HyperX cloud 2(wired) for almost 5 years now and its getting pretty old. With this, I was chatting with some friends and they said my microphone was popping. Over a day and a half this popping has escalated to my microphone not working. I was able to test it enough to figure out the issue is in the main wire of the headset and not the microphone's goose neck wire. Is there a way i can fix this. Also, I detect no change in audio from the headset, just the microphone has issues.

There is usually a way to fix things, how, that you need to work out once you check on what the issue is. Can you figure out how to open what is needed and replace or fix the wire? If yes then you can repair it.
