Just get a new one. Not sure how long 1280x1024 monitors are going to stay in production, maybe you should get a few if this form factor is important to you.
Oh that first one is actually 1024x768, ah memories.

Agreed.

That p1917s appears to be a new monitor. Depending on where this is ending up might be preferable.

My last 5:4 monitor burned out like 7 years ago. My mother's POS had a Dell 4:3 for many years, it died. I pulled my old Samsung 5:4 off the shelf and it died about a month later. Ended up getting a 16:9 Dell monitor to match the system. (Annoyingly had to replace the whole thing anyway less then a year later for Windows 10 support when the vendor stopped supporting 7)
