Here are the instructions to add/remove Windows XP Games:

Click START / Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs
Add Remove Windows Components
Accessories and Utilities > [Details...]
Games > [Details...]
Add a check next to your games
Click [OK] 3 times.

My problem is related, and I wonder if anyone could help? I recently upgraded
online to OE6 - it was the first time I had responded to the 'critical
upograde' list, and all seemed to go Ok even though I had 20 critacal
upgrades to be done! All was well except that Freecell will not work. I can
open it but movement of cards will noe ocur - the 'hourglass' shows and stays
there for ever! the other games seem to be OK. I thought I would try to
uninstall Freecell and then re-install it using the instructions as below,
but when I get to the 'Games' part, the 'Details' button is grayed out. Can
anyone help please???

Hi,

Is the Games checkbox checked?
If it is uncheck it and click OK.
Return and then Check the box again.
Click OK.

Let me know if you have any questions about Windows XP games.

Hi, Jimmy - I did the same - deleted the bundled games, so tried what you
suggested - got internet games but not freecell, minesweeper or pinball.

Wasn't asked for my Windows XP CD - I have a Sony Vaio laptop and the only
disk I have is the one that came with it labelled Recovery and Documentation.

Any other suggestions?

Best regards

Hi Sheila,

Search your hard drive for the files to see if they exist.
For example, search for FreeCell
If it finds it, put a shortcut to the game on your desktop.

Yes - it was there - and how obvious a thing to do.

I've been computing since my days at HP in the era of DOS - you would think
I would have thought of that myself !!

Ah well, hindsight is a wonderful thing <VBG>.
