Hello. I recently built a computer and now I'm having a small problem.

I set my screen to turn off after a minute (it doesn't matter how long) and it turns off. Then it says display port NO SIGNAL for a few seconds then goes back to DISPLAY port and stays on the entire time.

If I connect the DP cable to the motherboard. This doesn't happen. I'm very confused.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D
MOBO: Asus B650 WIFI PLUS
GPU: ASUS DUAL RTX 4070 SUPER EVO OC EDITION

Any ideas or solutions?

Edit:

I tried with Ubuntu. It happened on that as well, so it's not just a Windows issue.

reset BIOS by jumper
install the onboard graphics driver as well

check/repair windows with dism commands:
https://www.windowscentral.com/how-use-dism-command-line-utility-repair-windows-10-image
BIOS was updated after the new GPU installation anyways. So it must be reset already.

AMD iGPU driver is already installed.

scan result is this
[==========================100.0%==========================] The component store is repairable.
The operation completed successfully.

EDIT:
Also did the repair.
C:\Windows\System32>DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.22621.2792

Image Version: 10.0.22631.4037

[===========================84.9%================= ]
[==========================100.0%==========================] The restore operation completed successfully.

if windows repair doesn´t lead to success,
maybe check with a different video cable and port and different type of connector like dp to hdmi or vise versa
It has 3 dp connectors. They're all the same. The backlight only turns off if it is connected to the motherboard directly.

Something is wrong but I couldn't figure out what.

Did you try a different DP cable yet?
which monitor is it exactly? Can you check with a different monitor or TV?
eventually update the firmware of your monitor if available
check settings in monitor if something can be switched while no signal is arriving

check PCIe and GPU power settings in windows

eventually if missing:

eventually update the vBIOS of the GPU if available

edit:
screen settings: turn off auto scan, set to DP as source manually

I haven't. I only have this DP cable.
Auto scan is disabled.
It is an ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM1A.

I also connected this display to my MacBook. It stays asleep.

I also found an HDMI cable. It also sleeps when it's connected via HDMI.

I'll check vBIOS later today.
