I dropped my portable drive

I was playing WoW when I accidentally dropped it. My game didn't stop so I didn't mind much. But when I exited it to eat, I tried to access WoW and it claims that it cannot find the files. When I tried reconnecting it, it could not detect my device. Tried again, then it was detected. I was even able to launch my game, but it became unresponsive when I logged in. I can still access files.

What could be my problem? What should I do?

Is the game itself on the portabel drive or just your save games files? Sorry never played WoW. If you can get the data off the drive, do it.

Once you data is secure somewhere, run some diagnostics on the portable drive. HDTune for example.
