I feel like my 1050ti is performing worse than what i see on youtube.

PC specs.
Motherboard: asus h310m-k
GPU: 1050ti
cpu: i5-7400 CPU 3.00GHZ

Like i literally don't understand, I watch youtube and see all these 1050ti lowest settings videos specifically monster hunter world. They're getting a constant 60 frames, meanwhile I'm getting 40 on lowest and even lower... :/ I literally don't understand. Anyone know the reason? I feel like my pc isn't performing to it's full potential. My power supply has exploded before i don't know if that has anything to do with this, but i got it fixed form my local pc store and he said nothing was wrong with the parts... So literally no clue. Any help by chance?

Solution
Your motherboard UEFI/BIOS may be outdated, search its name with Google to find the last version from ASUS official website, and there they should explain you the steps to install it.

The one in control panel? Mines set to ultimate performance

The main problem seems obvious, RAM is using 1 out of 4 slots, this means it's single channel and single channel memory is far worse than dual channel for gaming.

The solution, buy another stick of RAM with the same specs as the 1st (or sell 1st and buy a double kit) and put memory in slots 1 and 3 for dual channel.

what ram do you recommend?

What you've got should be ok, but if you're buy new RAM, get at least 2400MHz. The main thing is to use 2 sticks to enable dual channel memory.

Ultimate performance isn't really a good setting because it brings the minimum CPU usage to 100% which only gets higher temps but none performance improvement. Anyway it shouldn't be not using the CPU. Check cores affinity in the task manager, set the game process to high priority and all that. The CPU should be around 80ºC and it's just like not being used looking at that temps.

And pete and zebarjadi, please don't exaggerate the importance of having 16GB of RAM. He has 8GB and it's just fine, I've been using a 1070 with a "slow" 2133 8GB RAM stick and the only problem were little framerate dips when playing top graphics games like Battlefront at maximum settings. 8GB for a 1050Ti is more than enough, 2x4GB should improve maximum performance but this is not the problem here, the problem is that his CPU is just idling so he is getting minimum performance.

I never said he needed 16GB, just dual channel.

Quad core performance is still 60%, a 40% under the average. There's still something wrong with the software, and yes as you said there's something wrong with the temperatures, even performing at 60% its temps shouldn't be that cold (unless his room is really cold).

I mean it's currently winter rn in Australia but it isn't THAT cold...

So what now.... I told yous this was weird Like i literally don't know...

If assigning cores affinity and CPU priority to the process isn't working, try to reinstall the game or... Formatting. I really don't know any more ways to focus your CPU usage.

Try fullscreen and windowed modes anyway in the game, some games have problems with that.

I looked at my pc and i see 1 stick of ram, but i have 8 is it perhaps 8gb in 1 stick? maybe that's why my pc is so trash

I have no idea what assigning cores even mean or formatting :/

Using a single stick means a little less performance, but just a little less, far from your problem.

To assign core affinity, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the Task manager, go to the "Details" tab (your game has to be running), search the game process and right click on it. Then you'll see the "Stablish priority" and "Stablish afinity" there. The priority should be normal and the afinity should be marking all cores. If it is correct, you can try to uncheck most of the cores, go back to the game, then go back to the Task Manager and check all cores again. If it doesn't work, set the priority to the maximum. If you're still not seeing any change, restart the game.

Anyway the temps you shown weren't looking correct. Again, install Rivatuner and MSI Afterburner, run Rivatuner, check "Show on-screen display", then go to MSI Afterburner, go to the settings, monitorizing tab, and check cpu and gpu temperatures, GPU load and all cores for CPU usage. One by one, check the "show information on screen" shown down there. When you start the game you should be watching on screen the CPU and GPU usage and temperatures in real-time, so we can check if they're lazy or they're slowing down because of overheating.

This was playing for around 15m
As for the setting cores they're all set already and the screenshot is with high priority too... I don't know what's happening with my pc it's really frustrating
