Yesterday when I was on my computer I got a strange message. When my system went to my deskop 8 minutes ago, I got another message with something new. Anyone know what this means and how I can stop this...
The message: Someone is trying to access your computer over the Internet. Remote access <IP address UDP Port <number> from <IP address> Port <number>
It says that my firewall denied access. I got the message yesterday for the first time asking me to appove or deny access. I denied it. I have a spyware/anti-virus program (Computer Associates Anti-virus software from my cable modem provider). A window from Computer Associates came up saying Remote Access was trying to be gained. Access denied.
I've never had this. What should I do? Should I contact my cable provider? or is everything in place with my firewall and anti-virus software? I use Internet Explorer 7. SHould I abandon IE and go with Firefox?
I have Windows XP Service Pack 3
