yeh so i got a AMD64 3500+ for My A8N-SLI-Deluxe and Corsair XMS Pro DDR550 2x1gb running......

my HTT = 4x
CPU FSB = 280
Multiplier = 10x
CPU Voltage = 1.485v
Memory Voltage = 2.7v

Can i go any further w/it?...

seems like that's my wall... i don't know what else to do to make it go more....it idles at 41c in a HOT room...m AC is going in the room tonight...so it should be better then.....

You still got headroom left as far as voltage is concerned, my advice would be to monitor your temp and stability under load by using Prime95 as idle temps don't mean much. 24 hours worth of Prime95 is a good indication of stability, feel free to join the Tom's Hardware Guide Community Folding@Home team once you are satisfied with your OC.

My 43rd week of '05 X2 3800+ can reach up to 2.9GHz but is only reliably stable at 2.85GHz, newer cores fabbed in 2006 (especially Venice and Manchersters) can manage even higher clocks on a lower Vcore without requiring watercooling.

I'm curious to know more about your cooling system, the timings, frequency and dividers on your memory and the OPN of your CPU, specifically the datecode.

cooling = wimpy ThermalTake Venus 12(i run it on low mostly)
Timings = 3-3-3-6 2T @ 187Mhz
OPN No clue...and dividers...no clue..lol

It sounds like you are using the divider already...... with "Timings = 3-3-3-6 2T @ 187Mhz "

On a 1:1 ratio, you should have 280MHz like your CPU's FSB, based on your 280MHz, there are other ratios such as 10:9 ~ 252MHz; 5:4 ~ 224MHz, etc........you should find the ratio dviders in your BIOS setting for DRAMs.

But the divider method is used for people who's DRAM modules are limiting their OC potential which in your case running 2 x 1GB Corsair XMS Pro DDR550......you should have plenty of MHz to work with.

Setting it to 1:1 ratio with 280MHz would make it slightly over the rated speed but like I said, from your settings, it looks like you're already using the dividers!!!

At 2.8GHz, it's a pretty good overclock already~~~~
But of course, if you can go higher, why not??

Good luck~~

Try lowering the HTT to 3x.

yeh man forgive me if i dont know the terms...i'm relatively new to overclocking cpus....heh

i lowered it to 3x but couldnt raise cpu fsb....or it wouldnt boot....heh
