i am planning of buying a gts 450 gpu but my psu(450 watts) doesn't have a 6 pin cable.....wat can i do about it?

lets back up a step. if it doesn't have a 6 pin it probably can't handle one. I have seen many a 450W supply that are actually 250W.

What is the 12V rail rated? this is the important part. Also what make and model PSU?

And what are your system specs? there are GPUs that do not require one, like the 7750, that might be a good fit for it.

most cards will have the two molex to 1 6pin adapter included in the package however make sure your psu has sufficient power for the card (normally with 450w psu you would have zero problems for this card but make sure its not som noname cheap brand - if it isn't you should be able to read the watts total on the 12v rails or rail and the max amps on it/ or each of them
